The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation (GRACF) is seeking board members from the Greater Itasca Area for two open positions on its Board of Directors.
Board members serve one term of three years, with the opportunity to be re-appointed for two more terms. These positions begin in January 2025.
The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation (GRACF) exists to promote and facilitate impactful philanthropy in the Greater Itasca area. Working as a catalyst to stimulate robust charitable support, the Foundation partners with individuals and businesses to establish giving funds that directly impact nonprofits, individuals, community programs and projects and forward their mission work.
It all started in 1994 when several community members in the Grand Rapids area were looking to encourage and help other community members to invest back into the community to improve the quality of life in the area. Since its inception, GRACF has been a trusted place where organizations, donors, and financial professionals can connect their charitable intentions with community needs. In its 30 years of existence, GRACF has grown its assets to over $31 million and has granted $30 million back into the community.
The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who live and work in the Itasca County area, who are knowledgeable about their communities, and who are committed to ensuring that the spirit and the intent of each gift is honored.
