Did you know 76% of Americans don’t have an estate plan?

The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation is hosting a free Estate Planning Seminar on Tuesday, October 7, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Timberlake Lodge.

This seminar will cover what estate planning is and why it matters; common tools like probate/probate avoidance, trusts, wills, power of attorney, health care directives; financial planning tips to support your goals; and how charitable giving can be part of your legacy. Presenters will be Jerry Ophoven of Anderson, Ophoven, Stauffer and Jahn, P.A. and Andrew Shermoen, RBC Wealth Management, Transcend Wealth Solutions Group, both of Grand Rapids.  Complimentary appetizers and beverages will be provided.

The event is free, but space is limited. To register, call the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation at 218-999-9100 or email info@gracf.org.
