The 2nd Annual Adam Johnson Golf Classic is back at the Mesaba Country Club in Hibbing, Minnesota, May 16–18, 2025, bringing the community together for a weekend of fun, friendly competition, and fundraising in memory of hometown hockey hero Adam Johnson.
The festivities kick off Friday, May 16, from 5–8 PM with Family Fun Night, featuring live music, a silent auction, kids’ and adult raffles, food, prizes, and a putting contest (@5pm) for all ages (kids putt free!). The grand prize for boys and girls, 10 and under is a new bike and a Bluetooth speaker for the 11-14 age group. The excitement continues with the Golf Scramble on Saturday and Sunday, May 17–18. The two-person scramble welcomes members and non-members, with raffles, prizes, and a silent auction throughout the weekend with a live band on Saturday. There is a cash prize for the adult putting contest.
Proceeds benefit the Adam Johnson Memorial Fund held at the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation (GRACF), supporting academic and hockey scholarships and causes that reflect Adam’s passions.
