McGregor Lakes Area Foundation Grant Cycle Open October 1-31, 2024
The McGregor Lakes Area Foundation (MLAF) is accepting grant applications for the current year from area 501(c)3 and non-profit groups in the McGregor lakes area. The McGregor Lakes Area Foundation’s mission is to support the greater McGregor lakes area through ongoing education, environmental, and social areas. Grants are provided to organizations that demonstrate a clear commitment to the sustainability and long-term viability of the lakes community. The MLAF service area is similar to the McGregor School District with boundaries of Jacobson (N), Wright (E), McGrath (S) and Highway 169 (W). The Foundation was formed in 1992 as the Big

Nashwauk Area Community Fund donates to N-K 5-6th grade science classes
A $2,000 grant from the Nashwauk Area Community Fund (NACF) helped buy supplies for 5th and 6th grade science students in Nashwauk-Keewatin. N-K fifth grade teacher, Mr. Lysaker, planned to purchase science materials both disposable and reusable for the classroom. Items planned for purchase were microscopes, batteries and bulbs, magnets, soil, seeds, paint, paper, pulleys, weights and measures, roller coaster materials, rockets, chemistry supplies, and a wide variety of other materials that will improve learning for students.
