The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation is excited to announce the creation of a new fund dedicated to fostering the development and long-term sustainability of quality recreational trails and facilities along the Mesabi Trail. Recognized as one of Minnesota’s premier biking and hiking destinations, the Mesabi Trail attracts visitors from near and far, offering a unique experience that showcases the natural beauty of northern Minnesota.
This new fund will ensure that the Mesabi Trail continues to meet the needs of its growing number of visitors. Contributions will support enhancements to the trail, maintenance of its facilities, and initiatives that promote outdoor recreation for all.
“The Mesabi Trail is a treasure for our community and visitors alike,” said Paula Kangas, Club Mesabi Executive Director. “This fund is an opportunity for those who love the trail to play a role in preserving its quality and accessibility for generations to come.”
