The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Mindy Nuhring has been selected to serve as the Foundation’s Executive Director.

Mindy most recently served as the Chief Development Officer at the Community Foundation where she concentrated on increasing awareness of the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation’s role in the community and how it can help people and organizations join their charitable intentions with community needs. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director of River Grand Senior Living. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and Masters in Communication from Bethel University.

Local citizens created the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation in 1994 as a way for everyone to join together, support worthy programs and projects in our area, and benefit all who live here. The Community Foundation serves the Greater Itasca Area.

Mindy Nuhring was born and raised in Grand Rapids and has been involved in many local projects and committees.  “I love being involved in anything that makes the Greater Itasca area a great place to live and work and I am honored to serve as the Executive Director of the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation.”

“On behalf of the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation Board of Directors, I would like to congratulate Mindy on her new role of Executive Director,” stated Kristian Myers, Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation Board Chair.
