The Nashwauk Area Community Fund (NACF) is a community-based fund that provides discretionary grants to projects and initiatives in the Nashwauk area to improve the quality of life for the people in the area.  This community fund provides grants to 501(c)(3) and other nonprofit organizations in Nashwauk, Nashwauk Township, Buck Lake, Pengilly, Swan Lake, Keewatin and Goodland Township areas.  Started in 2000 with a $15,000 donation by long-time Nashwauk resident, Marion Kumpula, the fund continues to grow with generous donations from community members and it continues to give back to the Nashwauk community.

In 2023, the Nashwauk Area Community Fund had two grant cycles:  one in the spring and one in the fall.  They awarded over $33,000 in grants to 25 area nonprofit organizations or projects, an important investment in the future of the community.
